ConvertX2DVD vs. The FilmMachine
I was told to use the software called The Film Machine as a real good konverter tool to convert movie divx and xdiv files to video DVDs. I tested it and I found 3 negatives in comparison with ConvertX2DVD:
- It installed many 3rd party video codecs, that were downloaded together with the package.
- The user interface was not so easy as ConvertX2DVD
- It crashed at the end of the procedure of converting some movies to DVD.
After that, I uninstalled it and tried ConvertX2DVD which I use up to now.
ConvertXtoDVD is a must if you create video DVDs from AVIs
ConvertXtoDVD is an excellent software to create a video DVD.
It is very easy to setup and start using right away with minimum configuration.
You just drag and drop the avi video, and the program will automatically add the subtitles, automatically create dvd chapters, set the best compression rate and burn the DVDR.
It minimizes your effort. Isn't this how software should be?
In order for ConvertX2DVD to automatically add the subtitles in the DVD:
1) save the .srt file containing the subtiltes, in the same folder with the avi or mpg
2) rename the subtitle file to the same filename as the avi video. Example if you have a video called TheMovie.avi, rename the subtitles as TheMovie.srt
