jConnect messenger can play these files.
But I don't want to install another software on my PC just for this reason. Is there a more "lite" solution, to convert the .gsm to .wav for example with an online service?

If you are not "affraid" of command line programs, you can use SoX - Sound eXchange. (in the See Also links)
The SoX command would be:
sox -V *.gsm -s out.wav
