As general precaution measures for protecting your computer:

  • Have an antivirus tool installed
  • Have a firewall tool installed

  • Backup regulary your files

If your computer is infected:
1) For windows users: while starting your PC, press the F8 key many times, until you see the screen with boot options. Boot using "safe mode with networking"
2) Run one by one all these completely free antivirus software listed under this link:
